3.4.1 Connecting SIP Trunks
4. Connecting via both WAN1 and an external router

• Each trunk port can be set to a SIP carrier or an analogue line.
Both of the WAN ports (WAN1 and WAN2) can be used for either SIP carrier connections (private network)
or IP network connections (public network).
When there are 2 or more connections being made using the LAN and WAN ports, the default gateway is
set only to one port.
To identify which LAN/WAN port is being used for each SIP carrier when both WAN1 and WAN2 are
enabled, the routing information to each SIP Carrier must be retained.
The HTS system must be restarted to apply settings for changing between LAN and WAN port types.
3.4.2 Connecting Analogue Trunks

1. Insert the modular plugs of the telephone line cords (2-conductor wiring) into the outside (CO)
line jacks.
