2.1.1 System Configurations
Main Unit
The main unit contains a mother board for controlling PBX functions.
Stacking Expansion Unit KX-NS720
Up to 3 Expansion Units can be connected to a Main Unit to expand the usage of legacy terminals and CO
lines. An Expansion Unit connected to the Main Unit will be controlled by the Main Unit. To connect an
Expansion
Unit, install an EXP-M card in the Main Unit. Then, connect the EXP-M card and the EXP-S which
is in Expansion Unit directly with Category 5e cable.

Note
This
PBX requires an activation key Expansion Capacity for KX-NS700 (KX-NSF991) to use the Expansion
Unit.
