7-4 Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
When using the speaker-
phone mode with a pro-
prietary telephone KX-
T7130 or KX-T7030,
nothing is audible.
When using the speaker-
phone/monitor mode with
a DPT, KX-T7220/KX-
T7230/KX-T7235/KX-
T7250, nothing is audible.
The unit does not ring.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The HANDSET / HEAD-
SET selector of the KX-
T7130 or KX-T7030 is
set to the “HEADSET”
position.
The “HEADSET” mode
is selected by Station
Programming,“Handset/H
eadset Selection.”
The Ringer Volume
Selector is set to “OFF.”
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
When the headset is not used, set
the HANDSET / HEADSET
selector to the “HANDSET”
position.
When the headset is not used,
select the “HANDSET” mode by
Station Programming.
Set to “HIGH” or “LOW.”
Connection between the central office and the KX-TD500:
CAUSE
CO lines are connected to the T2/T1.
CO lines are connected to the T2/R1.
SOLUTION
Reconnect the CO lines to
the T1/R1 or T2/R2 of the
telephone jack using 2-con-
ductor wiring.
