Your
VCR has been
tuned at the
factory
to receive
VHF channels
2-13, Mid-Band
A-1,
A-2, A-1, Super-Band
J-W cable
channels*.
Normally,
no fine tuning adlustment
will
be
required,
if
you
use
your
VCR
to record
VHF
channels
or cable
channels
which
pass
through
a converter
box
(see
Note
1).
Use
the Fine
Tuning
procedure given
here
if
you
wish to do any
of the
following:
o
To
record UHF channels
o
To
change
the
VHF
channel,
Mid-Band or Super-Band
cable
CHANNEL
positions
on
your
VCR for any
reason
(see
Note 2 below).
r
To clearly
receive cable channels
that
are broadcast
in
HRC,
or
IRC CATV
mode.
EXAMPLE: For
"UHF
channel 36"
at CHANNEL

"Normal"
frequency cable services.
However,
your
cable service
may send
you
an
altered cable
signal called
HRC
or
IRC cable system.
lf so, fine tuning
adjustment
may be
required.

not normally required
when using
the basic
cable connection
on

or
cable connection
C on
page.l9.
Simply select
the
VCR CHANNEL
position
which
is
pretuned
to
the output
channel
of the cable
converter
box
(lor
example, channel
3).

you
wish
to choose another
channel
position
to receive
the converter
box output,
then
you
must retune
the selected
position
to the output
channel
of the converter
box
using the
Fine Tuning
procedure
given
here.
