Backlight
Use when recording a subject that is darker than the surrounding scene, in a shadowed
area or when the light source is in back of your subject.
Press the BACKLIGHT
button while recording.
When lighting conditions
return to normal, press the
BACKLIGHT button again
to disengage.
Indication appears
in the EVF.
Make smooth scene transitions for a more professional look.
Fade In:
Starting the first scene with "fade in" can be
very effective.
1 During the RECORD/PAUSE mode,
press the FADE button to make “FADE”
flash in the EVF.
2 Press the RECORD/PAUSE button.
The screen will turn black and the
recording will start as picture and sound
gradually fade in.
Fade Out:
Use to create a soft ending or, when used
together with fade in, a soft transition from
one scene to the next.
1 Press the FADE button to make “FADE”
flash in the EVF while recording.
2 Press the RECORD/PAUSE button.
The picture and sound will gradually fade
out and the recording will PAUSE.
If FADE is accidentally pressed, simply press
it again so that "FADE" disappears in the
EVF.
