Troubleshooting No Power/Dead Unit (Power LED is Off)
Is the TV turning on
but the power LED
Is off?
Is there 5V present
when the TV is plugged into
the AC line?
Replace
the A board
Check the wires between connectors A1
and K10. If OK, then replace the K board
Replace
The P board
Yes

NO (Dead)

Unplug the TV and disconnect
A1 on the A board. Plug in the
TV press the power switch on
the TV (Not the remote
control).
Unplug the TV and place your
volt-meter on pin 5 of
connector P6. Plug in the TV
But do not turn the power on
Replace
The P board.
(Check the AC Cord)
Replace
the A board
Make sure the connectors on the P board
are properly seated. Plug-in the TV but
do not turn the power on.

Verify this symptom by using both the
TV’s power switch and the remote control.
It clicks 2 times (At plug
in and again approx
8~11sec. later)

Unplug the TV and disconnect
A31 on the A board. Plug in
the TV press the power switch
on the remote control).
Is the power LED
blinking 6 or 8 times
continuously?
Yes
NO (Dead)
Shorted “Key” input command (Pin 3 of connector C14 on the C1
board) possibly caused by the Control Unit Assy, the C1 board,
or the C2 board. For more details, see the block diagram on the
next page.
