Care and maintenance
The awning basically does not require any
maintenance. All aluminium components are
coated with a high-quality powder coang
and all screw connecons are made from
stainless steel. This protects these compo-
nents against corrosion.
We recommend cleaning the aluminium
components with a damp cloth every six
weeks.
Occasionally lubricate the joints of the
awning brackets and the fabric roller bearing
with a lile silicone or Teon spray (do not
use oil or grease).
Regularly check the brackets to ensure that
they are secure and free from wear and tear
or damage.
The awning fabric has been impregnated
with a high-quality waterproong agent and
can therefore be used outdoors.
IMPORTANT! Disposal
Do not dispose of the product and any
baeries required for
its operaon with the
household rubbish!
Obtain informaon
about local return and
recycling opons and
dispose of the product
at your exisng local
collecon points.
Product characteriscs of awning fabrics
We exclusive use high-quality polyester
and acrylic fabrics for our awnings.
The polyester fabric is made from short
bre. The yarn of the acrylic fabric is dyed
with spinnerets.
By rening the surface it is ensured that the
fabric is water and dirt-repellent and pre-
vents mould from forming.
Important user informaon
Awning fabrics are high-performance pro-
ducts.
But even with today‘s state of techno-
logy and environmental requirements,
there is a limit to their perfecon.
They may contain certain marks in the cloth
that somemes get complained about that
are impossible to prevent despite sophisca-
ted producon and processing technology.
Such markings do not lessen the value and
usability of the awning.
To prevent irritaon, we would like to point
out the following characteriscs within the
scope of consumer informaon:
Kink folds
These folds are created through packing and
folding the sun protecon cloth. In the
area of the fold, a dark line may be visible
when backlit, especially on light colours. This
is caused by the kinking of the bre (light
diracon) (Fig. 1).
Waviness in the area of the seam and sheet
Waviness can occur along the hemlines in
the area of the seams and in the middle of
the sheets. The cloth is doubled up at the
seams. This creates dierent diameters
when rolling up the fabric.
The tension created by the arculated bra-
ckets and sagging of the winding sha and/
or front prole can increase this eect. Wa-
viness may also occur if water has collected
during heavy rainfall (Fig. 2.3).
Elongaon of the side sheets
The cloth is tensioned with an acve spring
system most of the me. Although seams
and hems act as a reinforcement, they also
have to withstand the highest loads.
