2 Safety instructions for each life stage
2.1 Assembly and installation
The workstations must be suitable for the weight of the machine and of the tools. The
machine must be assembled on a secure location. The machine may only be operated by
staff who are trained and authorised for this purpose and who know the Operating
Instructions and are able to work in accordance with them.
2.2 Safety measures in normal operation
Only operate the device if all safety devices are fully functional. Before switching on the
device ensure that nobody is at risk from the device or from the process for handling the
tubes to be installed. The device must be checked regularly for any external damage
which can be identified and for the functionality of the safety devices. Do not operate the
device with the enclosure open. The enclosure must remain closed and may not be used
as a storage location.
Place long or large tubing on supports in order to ensure that these are held securely
during the pre-assembly phase.
2.3 Maintenance and repair, fault rectification (see section 14)
Carry out any prescribed adjustment, maintenance and repair work on a regular basis.
Check the functionality of the safety devices once the maintenance work is completed
and before they are switched back on.
