プリントサーバは各種UNIX,Linux 環境に対応しています。ここで
は、SCOUNIX、SUN Solarisおよび Linux でのインストレーション
について説明します。その他の UNIX 環境でのインストレーション
については各UNIX 用マニュアルのリモートプリンタの設定方法を
参照してください。
■SCOUNIX(OpenServer5.0.x)
1.root権限でログインしてください。
2.以下のコマンドを実行してください。
mkdevrlp
リモートプリンタの構成に関する質問が表示されます。以下のよ
うに入力してください。
a.Doyouwanttoinstallorremoveprinting(i/r/q)?[q]:
"i"を入力してください。
b.Doyouwishtochangetheprinterdescriptionfile /etc/printcap
(y/n)?[n]
"y"を入力してください。
c. Enterinformation for remoteprinters or localprintersaccepting
remoteprintingrequests.Pleaseentertheprintername(qtoquit)
プリンタを識別するための任意の名前を入力してください。
例:mini2
d.Isxxxxaremoteprinteroralocalprinter(r/l)
"r"を入力してください。
e. Pleaseenterthenameoftheremotehostthatxxxxisattachedto:
7-1でプリントサーバに割り当てた IPアドレスを入力してくだ
さい。もし、すでに/etc/hosts ファイルにプリントサーバのホス
ト名とIP アドレスを登録してある場合はIPアドレスの代わり
にホスト名を入力してください。
