DANGER: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF DROWNING
• Prolonged immersion in the spa may cause hyperthermia. The causes, symptoms and effects of hyperthermia may be described
as follows: Hyperthermia occurs when the internal temperature of the body reaches a level several degrees above the normal
body temperature of 98.6 °F (37°C). The symptoms of hyperthermia include an increase in the internal temperature of the body,
dizziness, lethargy, drowsiness, and fainng. The effects of hyperthermia include:
1. Failure to perceive heat
2. Failure to recognize the need to exit the spa
3. Unawareness of impending hazard
4. Fetal damage in pregnant women
5. Physical inability to exit the spa
6. Unconsciousness resulng in the danger of drowning
DANGER: RISK OF INJURY
• Do not remove the sucon fings. The sucon fing in this hot tub spa is sized to match the specific water flow created by the
pump. Should the need arise to replace the sucon fing or the pump, be sure that the flow rates are compable. Never operate
the spa if the sucon fing is broken or missing. Never replace a sucon fing with one rated less than the flow rate marked on
the original sucon fing.
DANGER: RISK OF ACCIDENTAL DROWNING
• Keep hair and body parts away from the sucon guard. Do not allow long hair to float freely in the water; long hair should be
restrained with a bathing cap. To reduce the risk of drowning from hair or body entrapment, install a sucon fing(s) with a
marked flow rate in gallons per minute that equals or exceeds the flow rate marked on the equipment assembly, if replacement
of sucon fings becomes necessary.
WARNING
• Ground fault circuit interrupter protecon (GFCI) or equivalent; RCD, for the spa should be tested prior to each use by the
homeowner. With the spa in operaon, push the “test” buon on the GFCI circuit breaker at the panel box. The spa should shut
down immediately. Now reset the GFCI. The hot tub spa should return to normal operaon. If the GFCI fails to operate in this
manner, there exists a possibility of electrical shock. Approved tesng applies for export protecon devices, i.e. RCD.
• Disconnue spa operaon by disconnecng the power source and nofy a qualified electrician for idenficaon and correcon
of the problem.
WARNING
• To reduce the risk of injury, do not permit children to use this product unless they are closely supervised at all mes.
WARNING: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY
• The water in a hot tub spa should never exceed 104ºF (40° C). Water temperatures between 100° F (38º C ) and 104º F (40° C) are
considered safe for a healthy adult. Lower water temperatures are recommended for extended use (exceeding 10 to 15 minutes)
and for young children.
• Excessive water temperatures have a high potenal for causing fetal damage during the early months of pregnancy. Pregnant or
possibly pregnant women should limit spa temperatures to 100º F (38° C).
• Before entering a hot tub spa, the user should measure the water temperature with an accurate thermometer since the tolerance
of water temperature regulang devices may vary as much as 5º F (3°C).
• THE USE OF ALCOHOL, DRUGS, OR MEDICATION BEFORE OR DURING SPA USE MAY LEAD TO UNCONSCIOUSNESS
WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF DROWNING.
• Persons suffering from obesity or with a medical history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulaory system
problems, or diabetes should consult a physician before using a spa.
