Care
For
The
T-15®.
The
T-15®
is
a
high
quality
musical
instrument
constructed
from
the
finest
materials
and
with
the
most
up-to-date
production
methods
available.
With
reasonable
care,
it
should
provide
many,
many
years
of
service
and
outstanding
playability.
Temperature
and
Humidity:
it
is
important
that
your
T-15®
be
protected
from
any
extremes
or
sudden
changes
in
either
temperature
or
humidity.
The
instrument
should
be
stored
in
its
case
whenever
it
is
nat
in
use
Strings:
String
life
may
be
greatly
extended
by
frequent
cleaning
and
wiping
after
use.
Dirt
and
perspiration
tend
to
build
up
on
the
underside
of
the
strings,
so
it
is
often
necessary
to
slide
a
rag
between
the
strings
and
the
fingerboard.
Dirt-laden
strings
cause
tuning
and
intonation
problems,
as
well
as
rust
and
corrosion.
For
best
performance,
strings
should
be
changed
approximately
once
a
month
or
every
twenty-four
playing
hours.
Some
players
may
find
that
they
preter
to
change
strings
more
often.

Finish:
Your
T-15®
has
a
polyurethane
finish
which
is
both
durable
and
weather-resistant,
but
nevertheless,
needs
care.
Automative-grade
waxes
will
protect,
clean,
and
shine
it.
Between
waxing,
the
instrument
should
be
wiped
with
a
dry,
soft
cloth.
Case:
A

and
a
padlock
tab
to
facilitate
locking
for
air
shipment.
The
case
may
be
cleaned
with
a
damp

with
or
without
soap.
Care
should
be
taken
to
avoid
wetting
the

The
Electric
Case
The
following
are
some
general
guidelines
if
you
have
purchased
the
Peavey
T-15®
guitar
with
our
optional
Electric
Case™.
The
Electric
Case™
is
our
rugged,
double
walled
and
molded
case
which
contains
an
extremely
sensitive
10
watt
preamp,
power
amp
and
special
combination.
The
preamp
section
contains
two
inputs
for
the
guitar,
labeled
A
and
B.
Input
A
is
the
most
sensitive
Input
and
will
provide
the
highest
amount
of
gain
(volume).
The
B
input
exhibits
somewhat
less
gain than
input
A
and
should
be
used
with
guitars
which
have
very
high
output
(“hot”)
pickups.
Next
are
the
pre
gain,
equalizer
and
post
gain
controls.
These
controls
can
be
adjusted
in
a
variety
of
ways
to
obtain
many
different
tonalities
and
textures.
For
example:
If
you
desire
a
very
clean
tonality,
rotate
the
post
gain
contro!
between
“8”
and
"10"
and
then
adjust
the
pre
gain
control
to
the
desired
volume
level.
NOTE
WE
DO
NOT
RECOMMEND
THAT
THE
PRE
GAIN
CONTROL,
FOR
THIS
APPLICATION,
BE
SET
HIGHER
THAN
ITS
NUMBER
“5”
POSITION.
PLACING
THE PRE
GAIN
CONTROL
ABOVE
THIS
SETTING
COULD
RESULT
IN
POWER
AMP
CLIPPING
AND
POSSIBLE
SPEAKER
DAMAGE/FAILURE.
The
equalizer
control
can
now
be
adjusted
to
provide
a
‘kapsie
ee
of
sound
("0"
-
“5°)
or
a
brighter
tonality
If
you
desire
a
distorted
sound
for
rock-type
textures,
rotate
the
pre
gain
control
between
its
number
“5”
to
“10°
position
and
then
adjust
the
post
gain
control
between
its
number
"1"
to
"5"
position.
The
equalizer
control
can
be
adjusted
for
“silkier”
distortion
sounds
{"0"
-
“5")
or
for
a
greater
amount
of
"bite"
(“5°
-
"10").
NOTE
AS
WITH
THE
SETTINGS
FOR
OBTAINING
A
“CLEAN”
‘SOUND,
IT IS
NOT
RECOMMENDED
TO
ROTATE
THE
POST
GAIN
CONTROL
HIGHER
THAN
