9.6.9. Optical sensor and controller replacement
No. Operation
A Remove the controller cover (1). See 9.6.5. Controller cover disassembly, page 77.
B Press the controller locking pad (3) and slide the controller (2) out of its position.
C Loosen the four screws (4).
D Remove the plate (7) and the wheel (6).

The optical sensor (5) is clipped on the front edge, gently press on the clips to release the
optical sensor from its location.
F Disconnect the cables from the controller by pressing on the clip and pulling them.
Note
To replace the optical sensor, you also have to disassemble the motor. See 9.6.7. Motor
replacement, page 78.
G Reverse above procedure steps to rebuild.
Caution
When refitting, always use the cables guide to secure the cables. This will prevent the
cables from being crushed or cut when closing the cover.
