8.5.7.8 Diassembling/assembling valve from/on tank
1. Remove the softener and valve covers, see Covers removal (softener and valve) [

Page62].
2. Dismount the brine hose (1).
3. Unscrew, counter-clockwise, the valve (2) from tank (3).
4. Perform maintenance or change the valve (2).
5. Lubricate the valve tank adapter and riser tube o-rings with approved lubricant only.
CAUTION
Do not use petroleum grease on gaskets when connecting bypass plumbing. Use only
100% silicone grease products when installing any plastic valve. Non-silicone grease
may cause plastic components to fail over time.
6. Spin the valve (2) onto the tank (3), ensuring the threads are not cross-threaded.
7. Rotate the valve (2) clockwise and freely, without using force until it comes to a stop.

This stop position is considered point zero.
8. Rotate the valve (2) clockwise from point zero to between ¼ turn and ½ turn.
CAUTION
Do NOT exceed 27 Nm of torque when installing the valve.
Exceeding this limit may damage the threads and cause failure.
9. Reverse steps 1 to 2 to rebuild.
