7. Replace damaged O-rings. Make sure the sealing surface is not damaged! Only
use O-rings from the service set.
8. Apply a thin layer of silicone grease (from the service set) to the plunger and the
O-rings.
9. Fit the protective housing over the plunger block and secure it with the 6 bolts
(pos. 22).
10. Carefully fit the plunger with the handle in the housing of the instrument. Turn the
four screws evenly so that there is absolutely no risk of warping the block. When
all 4 screws have been tightened, test the movement of the handle.
C. Throttle valve chamber (pos. 12)
Procedure:
1 Unscrew the throttle valve (pos. 12) all the way out of the measurement chamber
unit.
2 Use the O-ring puller from the service set to remove the O-ring (pos. 14) from
the throttle valve.
3 Use the brush from the service set to scrub the throttle valve with a cleaning
solution, and then rinse it thoroughly with water.
4 Replace a damaged O-ring (pos. 14). Make sure the sealing surface is not
damaged! Only use O-rings from the service set.
5 Apply a thin layer of silicone grease from the service set to the throttle valve and
the O-rings. Carefully screw the throttle valve back into the housing.
When the DGM is stored, it is recommended to
- empty (dry) it completely
- and the handle should be left in open position.
