INSTALLING/REPLACING BATTERY Use one 3V Uthiura battery (CR-2 or equivalent)
Ensure that the power is OFF before replac¬
ing the battery.
1 Open the battery chamber cover by using
the strap as shown in the illustration.
2 Insert one lithium battery with the
plus/minus ( + / —) sides matching the
indications in the battery compartment.
3 Close the battery chamber cover. Ensure
that the cover is locked with a click.
Notes on replacing the battery:
• Ensure that the power is OFF before re¬
placing the battery.
• The battery is used by both the camera
body and the data function on the DATE
model. After the battery is replaced or re¬
moved, the time is initialized to 0 00 and
( )bar marks appear on the LCD
panel. See page 41 for correcting the time.
• The date and no. of exposed frames are
memorized and unchanged even if the bat¬
tery is replaced.
