(when using AA batteries) (when using a CR-V3 battery)
Open the battery cover.
Slide the battery cover in the direction indicated by the arrow (_) and
flip the cover open (_).
Insert the batteries according to the (+) and (-)
indicators on the battery chamber.
Close the battery cover and slide it back into place to lock it.
Ifyou intend to use the camera continuously for a long period, use of the
AC adapter D-AC5 (optional) is recommended. (p.16)
• AA alkaline. AA lithium. AA nickel. AA nickel manganese and CR-V3
battenes are not rechargeable
• Do not open the battery cover or remove the batteries when the
camera is turned on.
- If you do not intend to use the camera for a long time remove the
batteries otherwise the batteries may leak.
• If the date ant time settings have been reset when you insert new
batteries after the camera has been left for a long time without
batteries, follow the procedure for "Setting the Date and Time". (p.24)
• Insert the batteries correctly. If the batteries are incorrectly oriented,
malfunction may result.

Insert the batteries in the camera. Use two AA alkaline, AA lithium, AA
Ni-MH, AA nickel or AA nickel manganese batteries or one CR-V3
battery.
