11 INFRARED INDEX
When infrared film and an "R2" or "02" filter are
used, the focal point is different from that of ordinary
film exposed in visible light.
Focusing
1. Focus on a subject as usual.
2. Turn the focusing ring to the left by the dis¬
tance indicated on the infrared index.

• As shown in the illustration, if 35 is read from the
zoom scale, adjust the distance scale to 35 on the
infrared index (red line).
• To set the proper exposure level for infrared pic¬
tures, refer to the instructions accompanying the
film. The Programmed AE Mode, Aperture Priority
Mode, or Shutter Priority Mode will not give a cor¬
rect exposure for Infrared film. Use the Metered
Manual Mode.
