Function Description

The ORENZNERO is a mechanical pencil that incorporates two key technological breakthroughs: the "one-click anti-breaking lead system" (Orenz system) and an "Auto-lead-forwarding" system. These features work in conjunction to eliminate the need for manual lead advancement and prevent lead breakage. The pencil is intended for writing and drawing purposes.

Usage Features

1. Anti-breaking lead system (Orenz system):

This system, first introduced in 2014 with the original Orenz, protects the lead by supporting it with a sleeve.
The sleeve extends to cover the lead, preventing it from breaking even when writing with very fine leads (e.g., 0.2mm or 0.3mm).
Users can experience continuous writing without lead breakage.

2. Auto-lead-forwarding mechanism:

This is a key innovation in the ORENZNERO. Unlike the normal Orenz where the sleeve retracts, the ORENZNERO's system automatically forwards the lead.
After an initial click to advance the sleeve, the protective sleeve writes without the lead being visibly exposed.
Every time the pencil is lifted from the paper surface, the lead is automatically forwarded, and the sleeve returns to its original protective position. This ensures continuous writing without the need for manual clicking to advance the lead.

3. Continuous Writing:

The pencil allows for non-stop writing with just one initial click. The protective sleeve handles the writing, and the auto-lead-forwarding mechanism ensures the lead is always ready.

4. Lead Retraction:

When the remaining lead becomes too short, the sleeve will automatically retract.
To avoid lead jams, users should click several times until the short pieces of lead are removed.

5. Lead Insertion:

After inserting a new refill lead, click and press the pencil against a flat surface to place the slide sleeve back into the barrel for safe storage.

6. Ergonomics:

The dodecagon body and low center of gravity contribute to stable and comfortable writing.

Precautions during Use:

Intended Use: For writing and drawing only.
Sharp Tip: Be careful of the sharp pen tip.
Choking Hazard: Do not put the cap, eraser, and nib inside your mouth. Keep out of reach of infants.
Dropping: Dropping the pencil may cause malfunctions.
Sleeve Retraction: Always retract the sleeve into the barrel when carrying the pencil to prevent damage to the sleeve or other objects.
Writing Pressure: Avoid putting too much pressure while writing, as it may leave a trace mark on the paper. Exerting high pressure (over 450g) will pull the safety trigger and retract the sleeve automatically.
Continuous Writing Pressure: Avoid pressing the sleeve during continuous writing, as it can affect performance (writing becomes harder). Lift the pencil to allow it to recover to its normal state.
Lead Pulling: If lead is pulled directly from the sleeve, it can be pulled out without any clicking motion.

Maintenance Features

1. Clearing a Lead Jam (for 0.3mm ORENZNERO):

Step 1: Unscrew and remove the nib from the barrel by turning it in the direction of the arrow. If the nib is slippery, a rubber band can be used for grip.
Step 2: To remove the jammed lead from the pencil tip, use another piece of 0.3mm refill lead.
Step 3: Insert a new lead from the top of the sleeve and remove the jammed lead.
Step 4: Screw the nib back into the barrel by turning it in the direction of the arrow.

2. Residual Lead Removal:

When the remaining lead is too short, the sleeve retracts automatically. To avoid jams, click several times to remove short pieces of lead.
If there is no reserve lead, clicking will not extract remaining short pieces. In this case, follow the "How to clear a lead jam" instructions.
Avoid repeated clicking if residual lead is present, as it can further jam the pieces.

3. Sleeve Storage:

After inserting new lead, press the pencil against a flat surface to properly store the slide sleeve back into the barrel.
Keeping the sleeve out of the pen tip can cause malfunction, breakage of the sleeve, or physical damage to other objects.
Do not click with too much pressure when storing the sleeve, as it may protrude the lead from the pipe.
