Function Description
The primary function of the Timesafe meter is to control the duration of billiard games based on coin insertion. When a coin is inserted, the display shows the selected time, and the connected load (e.g., billiard table lights) is switched on. The display counts down in one-minute steps until it reaches zero, at which point the load is switched off. Players can insert additional coins at any point during the timing sequence to extend the game, with the display showing the total remaining time. The meter can operate for up to 999 minutes (approximately 16.5 hours) before resetting to zero.
The device also features a key-operated matchplay switch, located below the coin mechanism, which allows for overriding the timing circuit. When activated by turning the key to the right, the display is blanked, and the load is switched on indefinitely. Any coins inserted during matchplay will be lost. Returning the switch to the vertical position resets the meter to the zero-time condition, and the display will show "00".
