4. Batteries
WARNING
Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to
recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with
local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.
Open the battery compartment and insert the batteries according to the correct
polarity.
Replace the batteries as soon as the display turns dark.
Remove the batteries after use.

6. Operation
6.1 General Operation
1. Place the scale on a solid, level and non-slippery surface.
2. Switch on the scale. The scale is ready-to-use when the display shows 0.
3. Place the item to be weighed or the tare item in the middle of the weighing
platform.
4. To tare an item, tap the tare button. Place the item to be weighed on the scale.
5. The weight is displayed.
6.2 Unit Conversion
Press the unit button until the desired weighing unit is displayed.
6.3 Negative Value
The display shows a negative value if a (tare) weight has been removed from the scale.
Press the tare button to clear the display.
6.4 Calibration
1. Hold the on-off button pressed and simultaneously press the unit button.
2. Press the unit button again.
3. Place the calibration weight in the middle of the weighing platform.
4. The scale will calibrate automatically and return to the normal weighing mode.
