To use as a siphon:
1. Insert one end of each of the two red hoses (F) through the black connectors (A).
2. Insert the connector end of the red hoses to the top and bottom nozzles on the pump
housing (C) and press the connectors over the nozzles after the hoses are securely inserted.
3. Insert the red hose from the top nozzle (intake) into the liquid needing to be transferred.
Insert the red hose from the bottom nozzle (discharge) into where the liquid is to go.
NOTE: For proper siphoning, the discharge hose must be lower than the intake hose.
4. Prime the pump by pumping the handle 3-4 times. Once the liquid begins to flow, it will
flow without further pumping.
After siphoning gasoline, oil, or any flammable liquid, it is very important to clean the pump.
To change oil:
To remove motor oil from the crankcase of a engine, follow steps 1&2 above. Then insert the
dipstick tube (D) into the black adapter (B) and insert the adapter into the top (intake) red hose.
Insert the other end of the dipstick tube into the engine dipstick hole until it reaches the bottom of
the crankcase. Place the bottom (discharge) red hose into a drain pan and start pumping.
To use as an air pump:
Place the air pressure hose (E) into the bottom nozzle (discharge) and
tighten securely, and begin pumping. To inflate footballs, beach balls, etc.,
place an inflation needle into the threaded adapter on the end of the air
hose and begin pumping.
Cleaning Instructions:
Usually flushing the pump and hoses with hot water is all that is needed for cleaning. For a
more thorough cleaning, the pump can be disassembled, without the use of tools, and cleaned.
WARNING: DISCHARGE OF STATIC ELECTRICITY - When
transferring flammable liquids such as gasoline, be sure that the
container that is acting as the receptacle is in contact with the ground.
WARNING: FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS - FIRE HAZARD - When
transferring flammable liquids ensure that there are no sparks or open
flames in the vicinity of operation.
