How to renew the canister of
the lubricating oil lter
Warning! Discard the used canister
and lubricating oil in a safe place and in
accordance with local regulations.
1. Clean thoroughly the outside surfaces
of the oil lter.
2. Use a strap wrench or similar tool
to just loosen the lter canister (A1).
Put a suitable container under the lter
assembly to retain spilt oil. Remove and
discard safely the canister. Ensure that the
adaptor (A3) is secure in the lubricating
oil cooler.
3. Clean the contact face of the lubricating
oil cooler.
4. Lubricate the seal (A2) on top of the
canister with clean engine lubricating oil.
5. Fit the new canister and tighten by
hand until the seal contacts the cylinder
block. Tighten the canister a further 1/2 to
3/4 of a turn by hand only. Do not use a
strap wrench.
6. Ensure that there is lubricating oil in
the sump. Start the engine and run at idle
speed until oil pressure is obtained. Check
for leakage from the lter. Stop the engine.
After 15 minutes check the oil level on
the dipstick and, if necessary, put more
lubricating oil into the sump.
Cautions:
• Do not ll the sump past the notch (C1
page 44) on the dipstick.
• The canister contains a valve and
special tube to ensure that lubricating
oil does not drain from the lter.
Therefore, ensure that the correct Perkins
POWERPART canister is used.
Come sostituire la cartuccia del
ltro dell’olio lubricante
Pericolo! Smaltire la cartuccia e l’olio
lubricante usati in un luogo sicuro e nel
pieno rispetto delle leggi vigenti.
1. Pulire a fondo le superci esterne del
ltro dell’olio.
2. Usare una chiave a nastro o un
attrezzo simile per allentare appena
la cartuccia del ltro (A1). Inlare un
contenitore idoneo sotto il ltro per
recuperare l’olio versato. Estrarre e
smaltire in modo sicuro la cartuccia.
Controllare che l’adattatore (A3) sia ben
saldo sul monoblocco o sul raffreddatore
dell’olio lubricante.
3. Pulire la supercie di contatto del
raffreddatore dell’olio lubricante.
4. Lubricare la tenuta (A2) sulla parte
superiore della cartuccia con olio motore
pulito.
5. Montare una nuova cartuccia e serrarla
a mano no a quando la tenuta fa contatto
con il monoblocco. Serrare la cartuccia di
un altro 1/2 a 3/4 di giro solo a mano. Non
usare una chiave per ltri.
6. Accertarsi che vi sia olio lubricante
nella coppa. Avviare il motore e farlo
funzionare al minimo no a quando si
ottiene la pressione dell’olio. Controllare
se vi sono perdite dal ltro. Spegnere
il motore. Dopo 15 minuti, controllare
il livello dell’olio sull’astina di livello e,
se necessario, versare dell’altro olio
lubricante nella coppa.
Attenzione:
• Non riempire la coppa oltre l’indice (C1
pag. 44) sull’astina di livello.
• La cartuccia contiene una valvola e un
tubetto speciale per fare in modo che l’olio
lubricante non scoli dal ltro. Assicurarsi
quindi di usare sempre la corretta
cartuccia POWERPART della Perkins.

voor het olielter
Waarschuwing! Gooi het gebruikte
element en de afgewerkte motorolie weg
in overeenstemming met de ter plaatse
geldende richtlijnen.
1. Reinig zorgvuldig de buitenzijden van
het olielter.
2. Gebruik een bandsleutel of soortgelijk
instrument om het lterelement (A1) iets
los te draaien. Plaats een bak onder
het lter om gemorste motorolie in op te
vangen. Verwijder het element en gooi dit
op de voorgeschreven wijze weg. Zorg
ervoor dat de adapter (A3) goed vastzit in
de smeeroliekoeler.
3. Reinig het pasvlak van de
smeeroliekoeler.
4. Smeer de pakking (A2) aan de
bovenzijde van het lterelement met
schone motorolie.
5. Breng het nieuwe lterelement aan en
draai het handvast aan tot de pakking het
cilinderblok raakt. Haal het lterelement
nog 1/2 tot 3/4 slag met de hand aan.
Gebruik geen bandsleutel.
6. Controleer of zich motorolie in het
carter bevindt. Start de motor en laat
deze stationair draaien tot er oliedruk
ontstaat. Controleer het lter op lekkage.
Zet de motor af. Controleer na 15 minuten
het peil op de oliepeilstok; indien nodig
bijvullen.
Voorzichtig:
• Vul het oliecarter niet verder dan de
inkeping (C1 pagina 44) op de peilstok.
• Het lterelement is voorzien van een
klep en een speciale buis die ervoor
zorgen dat er geen olie uit het lter
wegloopt. Controleer daarom of het juiste
Perkins POWERPART-element wordt
gebruikt..
