3.1.2 Securing your child with 5-point harness
1. Press down on the central adjuster (04) and pull the shoulder belts (32) towards you, (DO NOT pull on the shoul-
der pads ) release the 5-point harness as far as it will go.
2. Press the red button (19) to open the 5-point seat belt.
3. Place your child in the child car seat, and ensure that your child‘s back is lying at against the backrest of the
child car seat.
4. Guide the two buckle latches together and insert them into the 5-point harness buckle (14). A “click” will be heard
once the buckle is locked
5. Pull the adjuster strap (21) towards you until the harness lies at and is close against your child‘s body.
For your child‘s safety, ensure that the following checks are carried out before every journey:
• The ISOFIX connectors are securely engaged in the anchors and the indicators are both completely green.
• The child restraint is sat up against the backrest of the vehicle seat.
• The 5-point harness is tted snugly to the child. Make sure you can t no more than one nger between the har-
ness and the child‘s body,approximately 1 cm. If there is more space,tighten the harness further.
• The straps are not twisted.
• The shoulder straps sit in the correct position on the child‘s shoulders.
• Any lap strap must be worn low down,so that the pelvis is rmly engaged.
• The 5-point harness buckle is properly secured.
