width
and
baste
it

0.5

fabric

Turn
the
hem
down
so
that
it
pro
trudes
by
about
0.5
cm
(/32”)
on
the
right
(Fig.
2).
Place
the
material
under
the
blindstitch
foot
so
that
its
folded
edge
runs
along
the
edge
guide
mounted
on
the
sewing
foot
(ill.
at
left).
Regulate
the
needle
position
by
turning
knob
10
in
the
stitch
selector
clockwise
so
that
the
needle
takes
the
left
stitch
exactly
in
the
folded
edge,
catching
only
one
thread
in
the
material
(Fig.
2).
E’astic
blindstitch
To
blindstitch
heavy
woolens,
knitted
tabrics
and
jersey
materials,
fold
the
hem
only
once.
Finish
the
raw
edge
and
simultaneously
stitch
it
down
with
blind
stitches
(Fig.
3)
Push
button
2
and
turn
the
stitch
selector
to
a
medium
zigzag
stitch.
Regulate
the
needle
position
by
turning
knob
10.
setting
it
between
“left
and
“center”
so
that
he
needle
catches
only
one
thread
in
the
folded
edge.
