TheAirwavetransceiverisfullycompatiblewithPhilipsLedaliteorotherwirelessoccupancysensorsthatoperateatafrequencyof315MHzandareembeddedwiththeEnOcean
protocol.Thesesensorstypicallyuseinfra-red(PIR)technologysuitableforwallorceilingmountlocationswheretherangeofmotiondetectionrequiredislimited.Mostavailable
wirelessoccupancysensorsarenotcompletelyself-powered,butareinfacthybriddevicesthatincorporatesolarenergyharvestersANDrelyontheuseofbatteriestoremain
operationalformorethanafewhoursand/orautomaticallyturnONwhenmotionisdetected.Wirelessoccupancysensorscanbeusefulenergysavingstoolswhenappliedcorrectly,
howeverusinganAirwavekineticallypoweredwirelessswitchinconjunctionwithwirelessoccupancydeviceisarecommendedbestpracticeforfail-safereliability.
2.1.3 DimtoOFF
AllvacancysignalssenttotheAirwavetransceiverfromanoccupancyormotiondetectiondeviceautomaticallyinitiateaslow-fadedimmingofluminaires,eventuallyshuttingoffthe
fixtures when the space is unoccupied. This smooth transition means environments remain dynamic and efficient, while also being sensitive to the people who inhabit them.
2.1.4 Auto-ON
TheAirwaveTransceiverissettoAuto-ONwhenanoccupancysignalisreceived.TheAuto-ONOccupancymodecanbemanuallyoverriddenbyturningthexturesoffusinga
switchtoallowlightstostayoffduringanA/Vpresentation.TheTransceiverwillautomaticallyreverttoAuto-ONOccupancyoncetheoccupantshavelefttheroom.Theoverridecan
alsobemanuallyrevertedbymanuallyswitchingthelightsbackonagainatanytime.
