Expansion Bays
NOTE: AFTER CHANGING ANY OF THE
FOLLOWING SWITCHES, THE SYSTEM MUST BE
POWERED OFF AND ON BY THE TC8802 MAIN
POWER SWITCH.
TC8816A Data Receiver modules contain two 8
position DIP switches (S100 & S101). The functions
assigned to the upper DIP switch (S100) are
reserved and all settings should be left in the OFF
position. The options assigned to the 8 position DIP
switch S101 are as follows:

Switch 1
This switch is reserved and should always be left off.
Switch 2 and Switch 3
Up to 8 system keyboards can be connected to the
rear panel of the TC8802 Monitor Expansion Bay.
DIP switches 2 and 3 determine the system keyboard
group that can be assigned to the TC8802 bay.
Follow the table below to select the desired group.

Switch 4 and Switch 5
These switches are reserved and should always be
left off.
Switch 6
When switch 6 is ON, the TC8816A Data Receiver
module will communicate with system keyboards
using a ‘6 poll byte’ protocol. This format is used to
provide variable speed pan/tilt control capability for
AutoDome equipped camera sites and is only
compatible with TC8550A, TC8551A, TC8553,
TC8554, and TC8555 type keyboards. The default
setting is OFF.
Switch 7
This switch determines the operational mode of the
TC8816A and must always be left on.
Switch 8
This switch determines the operational mode of the
TC8816A and must always be left off.
