1 Make sure that there is enough water in the water tank.
2 Press the spray button several times to moisten the article to be
ironed (Fig. 11).
Steam boost function
AshotofsteamfromthespecialSteamTipsoleplatehelpsremove
stubborncreases.Thesteamboostenhancesthedistributionofsteam
intoeverypartofyourgarment.
Thesteamboostfunctioncanonlybeusedattemperaturesettings
between
2andMAX.
1 Press and release the steam boost button (Fig. 12).
Vertical steam boost
1 The steam boost function can also be used when you hold the iron
in vertical position. (Fig. 13)
Thisisusefulforremovingcreasesfromhangingclothes,curtainsetc.
Never direct the steam at people.
Drip stop
Thisironisequippedwithadrip-stopfunction:theironautomatically
stopsproducingsteamwhenthetemperatureistoolow,toprevent
waterfromdrippingoutofthesoleplate.Whenthishappensyoumay
hearasound.
Electronic safety shut-off function (GC4444/GC4440/
GC4430/GC4425/GC4422/GC4420 only)
The electronic safety shut-off function automatically switches off
the iron if it has not been moved for a while.
The red AUTO/OFF light starts blinking to indicate that the iron
has been switched off by the electronic safety shut-off
function (Fig. 14)
