- Kontrollér, om den angivne netspænding på
apparatet svarer til den lokale netspænding, før du
slutter strøm til apparatet.

Problem Solution
The appliance produces
a lot of noise and steam
during the brewing
process.
Make sure that the appliance is not blocked by scale. If
necessary, descale the appliance.
Coee grounds end up
in the jug.
Do not put too much ground coee in the lter.
Make sure you put the jug on the hotplate with the spout
facing into the appliance (i.e. not pointing sideways).
Use the right size of paper lter (type 1x4 or no. 4).
Make sure the paper lter is not torn.
The coee is too weak. Use the right proportion of coee to water.
Make sure the paper lter does not collapse.

Make sure there is no water in the jug before you start
to brew coee.
The coee does not
taste good.
Do not leave the jug with coee on the hotplate too
long, especially not if it only contains a small amount
of coee.
The coee is not hot
enough.
Make sure that the jug is properly placed on the
hotplate.
Make sure that the hotplate and the jug are clean.
We advise you to brew more than three cups of coee to
ensure that the coee has the right temperature.
We advise you to use thin cups, because they absorb less
heat from the coee than thick cups.
Do not use cold milk straight from the refrigerator.
If your coeemaker has an insulated jug, preheat
the insulated jug with hot tap water before you start
brewing coee.
There is less coee in
the jug than expected.
Make sure you place the jug properly on the hotplate. If
the jug is not placed properly on the hotplate, the drip
stop prevents the coee from owing out of the lter.
HD7479 only: There
are stubborn brown
deposits in the
insulated jug.
To remove stubborn deposits, put hot water and a
spoonful of sodium carbonate in the insulated jug.
Leave the sodium carbonate solution in the insulated
jug for some time. Then empty the insulated jug and
use a soft brush to remove the deposits. Rinse the
insulated jug with fresh water.
The lter overows
while the appliance is
brewing coee.
Check if you placed the lter holder into the appliance
properly (see picture 3 in chapter
).
If the lter holder is not in the correct p osition, the
drip stop does not work, which may cause the lter
holder to overow.
If you remove the jug from the appliance for more than
20 seconds during brewing, the lter holder starts to
overow.
Always ush the appliance with fresh water before rst use.
The appliance switches o automatically for HD7479.
The appliance switches o automatically after 30 minutes for HD7459, HD7470.
