Tilt Motor Assembly Replacement

Tools:
#2 Phillips screwdriver
To remove and replace tilt motor assembly:
Step 1. Disconnect luminaire AC input cable from power source.
Step 2. Remove yoke leg cover (side with menu display) by removing four 6-32x3/
8" PTB screws (Figure 2-26).
Step 3. Remove display overlay and plate, by removing three 6-32x1/2" PPB screws.
Step 4. At controller PCB, disconnect wiring at connectors marked:
a. GOBO/COLOR/ZOOM/EDGE/DIMMER/ROTATE
b. PAN/TILT
c. POWER
d. COMM
e. SHUTTERS (if applicable)
f. BALLAST (if applicable)
Step 5. Remove four 6-32x3/8" PPB screws and remove controller PCB.
Step 6. At encoder PCB, remove two 4-32 screws.
Step 7. Disconnect connectors at J1 and J2 and remove encoder PCB.
Step 8. At tilt motor assembly, loosen four 6-32x1" PPB screws. Slide assembly
forward and remove belt from pulley.
Step 9. Remove four 6-32x1" PPB screws and #6 flat washers and remove tilt motor
assembly (spring will come loose also).
Step 10. Replace by doing steps 2 through 9 in reverse. (Belt tension is automatically
set by spring.)
