Determining the necessary times
DAT For the cycle time of the F-Devices, please refer to the device-specific user doc-
umentation for the F-Devices used.
Bus The “Bus” value is the sum of all the following times in the network/bus system
used:
1. External bus runtime in the network:
Update time of the I/O data between PROFINET controller and device
set via the “Reduction ratio” multiplied by the “Monitor factor” (multiplier
of the update time).
The result (monitor time) determines the time at which the communi-
cation link is disconnected if no cyclic data has been transmitted in the
specified time (see Figure 2-5).
