The PNI Safe House IDB12 is a WiFi video doorbell with a chime, designed to enhance home security and communication. This device allows users to see, hear, and speak to visitors from anywhere using the Tuya Smart app on their smartphone.

Function Description:

The PNI Safe House IDB12 system consists of two main units: an outdoor video doorbell and an indoor chime. The outdoor unit features a camera, microphone, loudspeaker, light sensor, LED indicator, call key, and IR LEDs for night vision. When a visitor presses the call key on the outdoor unit, the indoor chime rings, and a notification is sent to the user's smartphone via the Tuya Smart app. Through the app, users can view live video, communicate with the visitor, and manage various settings. The system supports both automatic and manual configuration for easy setup.

Usage Features:

  1. Tuya Smart App Integration: The doorbell integrates with the Tuya Smart app, available on Google Play and the App Store. Users need to download the app, create an account, and log in to manage the device.
  2. Easy Configuration: The device supports both automatic and manual configuration modes.
    • Automatic Configuration: To initiate, press the call button on the outdoor unit. The LED indicator will blink, signaling pairing mode. If it doesn't blink, press the pairing key for 10 seconds. Ensure Bluetooth and GPS Location functions are active on your phone. Open the Tuya Smart app, which will automatically scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. Once identified, press "Add," select your 2.4GHz WiFi network, enter the password, and wait for the device to be added.
    • Manual Configuration: Similar to automatic, but after activating Bluetooth and GPS, users press the "+" (Add Device) button in the app, then select "Camera & Lock" and "Doorbell Camera." If the camera's LED blinks, press "Next" to scan for devices, then select the WiFi network, enter the password, and wait for the device to be added.
  3. Real-time Monitoring: The app allows users to view live video feed from the doorbell camera.
  4. Two-Way Audio: Users can communicate with visitors through the integrated microphone and loudspeaker on both the outdoor unit and via the smartphone app.
  5. Night Vision: Equipped with IR LEDs, the doorbell provides clear visibility even in low-light conditions up to 5 meters.
  6. Multiple Ringtones: The indoor chime offers 20 different ringtones for personalization.
  7. Volume Control: The indoor chime has volume adjustment buttons (+/-).
  8. Pairing Key: A dedicated pairing key on the indoor chime facilitates connection with the outdoor unit.

Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Charging: The outdoor unit's factory-installed battery is charged via a USB-C cable (included) connected to the unit's USB-C port.
  • Chime Power: The indoor chime can be powered by a DC5V 1A phone charger or directly from a computer's USB port.
  • Environmental Protection: The outdoor unit has an IP54 protection grade, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and splashing water. However, it is recommended to protect it from direct rain, snow, or sun to ensure longevity.
  • WiFi Compatibility: The outdoor unit exclusively supports 2.4GHz WiFi connections; it is not compatible with 5GHz networks.
