CONFIGURATION:
Your new PocketWizard radio runs on very
sophisticated software we call ControlTL
which can be configured to your specific
needs using the PocketWizard Utility.
You can download this utility at

REGISTRATION:
ControlTL software is designed to be “Future
Proof” and will be upgraded from time-to-
time. Please register your product online to
be notified when updates are available.
All equipment should be turned OFF when
making connections. Unwanted triggering may
occur.
Basic Wireless E-TTL: MiniTT1 OO FlexTT5
No flash on Camera
1. Slide MiniTT1 Transmitter onto camera.
2. Slide remote Speedlite onto FlexTT5 Transceiver. Repeat for each remote Speedlite.
All remote E-TTL flashes will be treated as one zone of light.
3. Make sure all your PocketWizard radios are on the same channel and trigger normally.
This mode is like using Canon ST-E2 (non-ratio mode) or 580EX (I or II, master mode,
main flash off, non-ratio) in camera shoe.
Basic Wireless E-TTL: MiniTT1 OO FlexTT5
Flash on Camera
1. Slide MiniTT1 Transmitter onto camera.
2. Slide Canon 580EX Speedlite onto MiniTT1 radio. Set Speedlite for MASTER = ON.
3. Slide remote Speedlite onto FlexTT5 Transceiver. Repeat for each remote Speedlite.
All remote E-TTL flashes will be treated as one zone of light.
4. Make sure all your PocketWizard radios are on the same channel and trigger normally.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to select your camera model on the Misc Tab in the PocketWizard
Utility, especially if you are using the Canon 5D Mark II.
Ratio Wireless E-TTL: MiniTT1 OO FlexTT5
Flash on Camera
1. Slide MiniTT1 Transmitter onto camera.
2. Slide Canon 580EX Speedlite onto MiniTT1 radio. Set Speedlite for MASTER = ON.
Enable slave groups/zones per flash instructions. Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2
may also be used.
3. Set remote FlexTT5 radio to desired Canon ratio slave group/zone (A, B, C) using
FlexTT5 zone switch.
4. Slide remote Speedlite onto FlexTT5 Transceiver. Set Speedlite for regular E-TTL mode
(not SLAVE or MASTER). Repeat for each remote Speedlite. All remote E-TTL flashes on
same FlexTT5 slave group/zone will be treated as one zone of light.
5. Adjust ratios using MASTER Speedlite flash controls.
6. Make sure all your PocketWizard radios are on the same channel and trigger normally.
Setting Canon E-TTL to normal flash (MASTER = OFF) when in shoe of MiniTT1 will
disable all remote flash. This operation mirrors Canon functionality.
IMPORTANT: Canon flashes set to SLAVE = ON and connected to FlexTT5 radios will have
slave mode automatically turned off, but will still function as slaves correctly. Set desired
Canon slave group/zone via remote FlexTT5 zone switch. PocketWizard channel is used
instead of Canon channel.
ISO, aperture, flash exposure compensation (FEC), and other settings will track exposure
normally via the PocketWizard ControlTL system.

First exposure after making initial
connections/powering on may not be properly
exposed. First shot is a camera calibration
shot. Always test twice.
Review product manuals for your camera/
flash system. For most basic functions when
using Canon’s system or PocketWizard’s,
operation is identical.
You may use a FlexTT5 as a transmitter
instead of a MiniTT1 in all scenarios.
Make sure all PocketWizard radios are
set to same PocketWizard channel.

Basic Wireless E-TTL: MiniTT1 OO FlexTT5
Appareil sans flash
1. Insérez le Transmetteur MiniTT1 dans l’appareil.
2. Insérez le Flash Speedlite dans l’émetteur-récepteur FlexTT5. Répétez pour chaque
Speedlite. Tous les flashs E-TTL externes seront traités comme une zone de lumière.

Ratio Wireless E-TTL: MiniTT1 OO FlexTT5
Appareil avec flash
1. Insérez le transmetteur MiniTT1 dans l’appareil.
2. Insérez le flash Canon 580EX Speedlite dans la radio MiniTT1. Mettez le flash Speedlite
sur MASTER = ON. Autorisez les groupes ou zones secondaires pour chaque instruction
de flash. Le transmetteur Canon Speedlite ST-E2 peut également être utilisé.
3. Branchez la radio externe FlexTT5 sur la zone ou le groupe secondaire du ratio
Canon désiré (A, B, C) en utilisant le commutateur du FlexTT5.
4. Insérez le flash Speedlite dans l’émetteur-récepteur du FlexTT5. Mettez le flash Speedlite
sur le mode régulier E-TTL (et non pas SLAVE ou MASTER). Répétez l’opération pour
chaque flash Speedlite externe. Tous les flashs E-TTL branchés au même groupe ou à la
même zone secondaire seront traités comme une zone de lumière.
5. Ajustez les ratios en utilisant les commandes MASTER du flash Speedlite.
6. Assurez-vous que toutes les radios PocketWizard sont sur le même canal et se
déclenchent normalement.
Brancher le Canon E-TTL au flash normal (MASTER = OFF) lorsqu’il est dans la griffe
du MiniTT1 bloquera tous les autres flashs.
IMPORTANT: Les flashs Canon branchés sur SLAVE = ON et connectés aux radios FlexTT5
voient le mode secondaire automatiquement désactivé, mais ils continuent à fonctionner
correctement comme secondaires. Configurez le groupe ou la zone secondaire Canon
désiré(e) avec le commutateur du FlexTT5. Le canal PocketWizard remplace le canal Canon.
L’ISO, l’ouverture, la compensation de l’exposition du flash (FEC), et les autres
configurations permettront une bonne recherche d’exposition à travers le système ControlTL
de PocketWizard.

La première exposition après initialisation

Faites toujours deux essais.
Vérifiez le manuel d’utilisation de votre
appareil photo ou de votre flash. Le mode de
fonctionnement est identique pour la plupart
des fonctions de base dans les systèmes
Canon ou PocketWizard.
Vous pouvez utiliser un FlexTT5 comme
transmetteur à la place d’un MiniTT1 dans
tous les cas.

4. Deslice el Speedlite remoto en el modem inalámbrico FlexTT5. Configure el Speedlite
en modo E-TTL regular (no ESCLAVO o MAESTRO). Repita para cada Speedlite remoto.
Todos los flashes remotos E-TTL en la misma zona/grupo esclavo serán tratados como
una zona de luz.
5. Ajuste ratios utilizando los controles de flash Speedlite MAESTROS.
6. Asegúrese que todos los radios PocketWizard estén en el mismo canal y disparen
normalmente.
Al configurar el E-TTL de Canon como flash normal (MAESTRO = APAGADO) cuando se encuentra
en la zapata del MiniTT1, desactivará todo flash remoto.
IMPORTANTE: Los flashes de Canon configurados en ESCLAVO = ENCENDIDO y conectados
a radios FlexTT5, tendrán automáticamente el modo esclavo desactivado, aunque aún
funcionarán como esclavos correctamente. Configure la zona/grupo esclavo de Canon a través
del interruptor de zona FlexTT5 remoto. Se utiliza el canal de PocketWizard en lugar del canal de
Canon.
ISO, apertura, compensación de exposición de flash (DEC), y otras configuraciones rastrearán la
exposición normalmente a través del sistema ControlTL de PocketWizard.

LÉAME ANTES:

pruebe dos veces.
Revise los manuales del producto para conocer

Puede utilizar un FlexTT5 como transmisor en
lugar de un MiniTT1, en todos los casos.

Basis Drahtlos E-TTL: MiniTT1 OO FlexTT5
Kein Blitz auf der Kamera
1. Schieben Sie den MiniTT1 Transmitter auf die Kamera.
2. Schieben Sie das ferngesteuerte Speedlite auf den FlexTT5 Transceiver. Wiederholen Sie
das für jedes ferngesteuerter Speedlite. Alle ferngesteuerten E-TTL Blitze werden als ein
Lichtbereich behandelt.

das für jedes ferngesteuerte Speedlite. Alle ferngesteuerten E-TTL Blitze werden als ein
Lichtbereich behandelt.
4. Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Ihre PocketWizard Geräte auf denselben Kanal gestellt sind
und normal auslösen.
WICHTIG: Stellen Sie unbedingt Ihr Kameramodell auf dem Misc Tab in der PocketWizard

Ratio Drahtlos E-TTL: MiniTT1 OO FlexTT5
Blitz auf der Kamera
1. Schieben Sie den MiniTT1 Transmitter auf die Kamera.
2. Schieben Sie das Canon 580EX Speedlite auf das MiniTT1 Funkgerät. Stellen Sie das Speedlite
auf MASTER = ON. Aktivieren Sie die Slave-Gruppen/Bereiche gemäß den Blitz-Anweisungen.
Es kann auch ein Canon Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2 verwendet werden.
3. Stellen Sie das ferngesteuerte FlexTT5 Funkgerät auf den gewünschte Canon Ratio
Slave Gruppe/Bereich (A,B,C) unter Verwendung des FlexTT5 Bereichsschalters ein.
4. Schieben Sie das ferngesteuerte Speedlite auf den FlexTT5 Transceiver. Stellen Sie das Speedlite
auf den regulären E-TTL Modus (nicht SLAVE oder MASTER). Wiederholen Sie das für jeden
Speedlite. Alle ferngesteuerten E-TTL Blitze mit derselben FlexTT5 Slave Gruppe/Bereich werden
als ein Lichtbereich behandelt.
5. Stellen Sie die Ratios unter Verwendung der MASTER Speedlite Blitzsteuerungen ein.
6. Stellen Sie sicher, dass alle Ihre PocketWizard Geräte auf denselben Kanal gestellt sind
und normal auslösen.
Die Einstellung des Canon E-TTL auf normalen Blitz (MASTER = OFF) deaktiviert alle
ferngesteuerten Blitze, wenn er sich im Blitzschuh des MiniTT1 befindet. Dieser Betrieb spiegelt
die Canon Funktionalität wieder.
WICHTIG: Canon Blitze, die auf SLAVE = ON gestellt sind und mit FlexTT5 Funkgeräten verbunden
sind, schalten den Slave Modus automatisch ab, funktionieren aber immer noch korrekt als Slaves.
Stellen Sie den gewünschten Canon Slave Gruppe/Bereich über den ferngesteuerten FlexTT5
Bereichsschalter ein. Es wird der PocketWizard Kanal anstelle des Canon Kanals verwendet. .
ISO, Blende, Blitzbelichtungskorrektur (FEC) und andere Einstellungen verfolgen die Belichtung
normalerweise über das PocketWizard ControlITL System.

Wireless E-TTL di base: MiniTT1 OO FlexTT5
Fotocamera senza flash
1. Inserire un trasmettitore MiniTT1 sulla slitta della fotocamera.
2. Inserire uno Speedlite remoto sul ricetrasmettitore FlexTT5. Ripetere l’operazione per
ogni Speedlite remoto. Tutti i flash E-TTL remoti saranno trattati come un’unica zona
luminosa.
3. Verificare che tutti i radiocomandi PocketWizard si trovino sullo stesso canale e si
attivano normalmente.
Questa modalità è paragonabile all’uso di Canon ST-E2 (modalità non-ratio) o il 580EX
(I o II, modalità master, flash principale spento, non-ratio) sul contatto caldo della fotocamera.

Fotocamera con flash
1. Inserire un trasmettitore MiniTT1 sulla slitta della fotocamera.
2. Inserire uno Speedlite Canon 580EX sul radiocomando MiniTT1. Impostare lo Speedlite

Fotocamera con flash
1. Inserire un trasmettitore MiniTT1 sulla slitta della fotocamera.
2. Inserire uno Speedlite Canon 580EX sulla radio MiniTT1. Impostare lo Speedlite su
MASTER = ACCESO. Abilitare i gruppi/le zone slave (A,B,C) secondo quanto riportato nelle
istruzioni per il flash. È possibile utilizzare anche il trasmettitore Canon Speedlite ST-E2.
3. Impostare la radio remota FlexTT5 secondo il gruppo/la zona slave (A,B,C) con controllo
del rapporto di illuminazione, utilizzando l’interruttore di zona FlexTT5.
4. Inserire uno Speedlite remoto sul ricetrasmettitore FlexTT5. Impostare lo Speedlite in
modalità E-TTL regolare (non SLAVE o MASTER). Ripetere per ogni Speedlite remoto.
Tutti i flash E-TTL remoti sullo stesso gruppo/zona slave FlexTT5 saranno trattati come
una zona di luce.
5. Regolare i rapporti utilizzando i comandi flash Speedlite MASTER.
6. Verificare che tutti i radiocomandi PocketWizard si trovino sullo stesso canale e si
attivano normalmente.
L’impostazione di Canon E-TTL su flash normale (MASTER=SPENTO) quando innestato nel
contatto caldo del MiniTT1, disabiliterà tutti i flash remoti. Questa operazione è identica alla
funzionalità Canon.
IMPORTANTE: nei flash Canon impostati su SLAVE = ON e connessi ai radiocomandi FlexTT5
la modalità slave viene spenta automaticamente e tuttavia continueranno a funzionare
correttamente come slave. Impostare il gruppo/zona slave Canon mediante l’interruttore di zona
remoto FlexTT5. Invece del canale Canon, si utilizza il canale PocketWizard.
Di norma, impostazioni quali ISO, apertura, compensazione esposizione flash (FEC), ecc.,
controllano l’esposizione tramite il sistema PocketWizard ControlTL.
