MAINTENANCE
Lubrication
Drivesh aft Bearing
Inject grease into t he fitting on the
speedometer sensor housing until grease
purges from the seal on the inside of the
tunnel. This should take approximately two
pumps. Do not use more than four pumps.
Throttle Cable
Lubricate the throttle cable lightly with
grease or oil. With the engine off, turn
the handlebars to the left and lubricate
liberally as shown.
Front Suspension
The front suspension and steering components do not require
lubrication.
Rear Susp en sio n
Lubricate the suspension pivot shafts with Polaris Premium All Season
Grease at the intervals outlined in the Periodic Mai ntenance Table
beginning on page 88 and before seasonal storage. When operating i n
heavy, wet snow conditions, lubricate every 500 miles (800 km).
Lack of lubrication will adversely affect your ride and the life of the
suspension. For more information about suspension lubrication and
adjustments, see your Polaris dealer.
