REAR BRAKES (FOOT BRAKE)
The foot brake
q
operates the rear brakes. The foot brake is located on the
inside of the right footrest. Operate this brake with your right foot. The foot brake
is a mechanical rear wheel brake.
If the rear wheels slide while using the foot brake, reduce brake pedal pressure
to brake the rear wheels without skidding.
PARKING BRAKE
1. Place the transmission in gear.
2. Squeeze and release the left brake lever two
or three times, then squeeze and hold.
3. Push the parking brake lock
q
down to
engage the lock.
4. Release the brake lever.
5. To release the parking brake lock, squeeze
and release the brake lever. It will return to
its unlocked position.
The CVT system is always in forward gear. Using the throttle to warm the engine
will cause the vehicle to move forward if the parking brake is not locked. Always
lock the parking brake before starting the engine. Always lock the parking brake
whenever the vehicle is left unattended.
WARNING
Operating the ATV while the parking brake is engaged could cause an accident
resulting in serious injury or death. It could also result in driveline or engine
damage. Always be sure to disengage the parking brake before operating the
ATV.
