3. Remove the fill plug

. Add the recommended oil as needed.
4. Reinstall the fill plug. Torque to specification.
5. Reinstall the check plug. Torque to specification.
6. Check for leaks.
REAR GEARCASE OIL CHANGE
1. Remove the skid plate.
2. Remove the drain plug. Drain the oil into an appropriate container. Discard
used oil properly.
3. Clean and reinstall the drain plug with a new sealing washer. Torque to
specification.
4. Remove the fill plug and add the recommended gearcase oil.
5. Reinstall the fill plug. Torque to specification.
6. Check for leaks.
7. Reinstall the skid plate.
BRAKES
FRONT BRAKE INSPECTIONS
The front (right lever) brakes are hydraulic disc brakes, activated by moving the
brake lever toward the handlebar. This brake system is self-adjusting.
