Swing Arm Removal
1. Remove the plastic tie strap retaining the brake lines to the
swing arm.
2. Slightly elevate the rear end of the vehicle off the ground.
3. Remove the (2) bolts retaining the rear brake caliper and
remove the caliper from the disc. CAUTION: Do not hang
the caliper by the brake line. Use a strap or mechanics wire
to hang caliper to prevent damage to the brake line.
4. Loosen all (4) axle housing bolts.
5. Loosen the outer jam nut and back off the inner adjustment
nut on each chain adjuster to remove tension.
6. Using mechanics wire or a long Panduit strap, tie the chain
tensioner back out of the way.
7. Remove the upper shock mounting bolts.
Severe injury could occur if machine tips or falls.
