REAR BRAKE PAD REMOVAL
1. Removecalipermounting bolts andliftcaliperoff of
disc.
NOTE: When removing caliper, be careful not to dam-
agebrakeline. Supportcalipersoasnottokinkorbend
brake line.
2. Push caliper piston into caliper bore slowly with
pads installed.
NOTE: Brakefluidwillbeforcedthroughcompensating
port into master cylinder fluid reservoir when piston is
pushed back into caliper. Remove excess fluid from
reservoir as required.
3. Remove brake pad retaining pin, and pad spacer .
NOTE: This is a spring pin, do not spread apart farther than
necessary to remove it.
4. Clean pad retainer pins with a wire brush.
5. Clean the caliper w/ brake cleaner or alcohol.
6. Measure the thickness of the pad material.
Replace pads if worn beyond the service limit.

New .275 (7.0 mm)
Service Limit .150 (3.81 mm)
