43. Install the flywheel, washer, nut, and key. Torque
flywheel nut to specification.
Flywheel Nut:
65 ± 7 ft-lbs (88 ± 9.50 Nm)
44. Install stator housing with new o-rings. Torque the
bolts to specification and follow proper bolt torque
sequence at the beginning of this chapter.
Stator Housing Bolt:
96 ± 3 in-lbs (10.85 ± 0.35 Nm)
45. After the engine is completely assembled and ready
for installation, the engine must be properly primed
with Polaris 2W-50 Synthetic Oil. Fill the oil filter
three-quarters full with Polaris 2W-50 Synthetic Oil.
Let the oil soak into the filter for 8-10 minutes and
install the filter onto the engine.
46. Remove primer plug from the engine. Install Oil
System Priming Adapter (PU-45778) into the oil plug
hole. Push 3-5 oz. (approx.) of Polaris 2W-50 into the
adapter or until resistance is felt. Remove the
adapter. Apply sealant to the plug threads. Install the
plug and torque to specification.
WARNING
Primer Plug:
18 ± 2 ft-lbs (24.4 ± 2.71 Nm)
