28.Use a heavy-duty tie strap
h
to retain the throttle
body and fuel rail assembly to the upper left-hand
frame support.
29.Remove the screws
j
that retain the throttle body to
the cylinder head. Replace the gaskets upon
installation. Insert a clean shop towel into each intake
track of the engine to prevent debris from entering.
30.Remove the spade wire (white/red) and battery cable
from starter motor solenoid.
31.Remove engine ground cable from crankcase.
32.Disconnect harness from ECT sensor.
33.Pull the engine toward the front of the vehicle to
disengage the engine coupler from the transmission
input shaft.
34.Remove the engine through the right side of the
chassis and place on a work bench to begin engine
disassembly.
