Automatic Transaxle Fluid
It is not necessary to check the transaxle fluid
level. A transaxle fluid leak is the only reason for
fluid loss. If a leak occurs, take your vehicle to
the dealership service department and have
it repaired as soon as possible.
Change the fluid and filter at the intervals listed
in Additional Required Services on page 378,
and be sure to use the transaxle fluid listed in
Recommended Fluids and Lubricants on page 385.
Notice: Use of the incorrect automatic
transaxle fluid may damage your vehicle,
and the damages may not be covered by your
warranty. Always use the automatic transaxle
fluid listed in Recommended Fluids and
Lubricants on page 385.
Manual Transaxle Fluid
It is not necessary to check the transaxle fluid level.
A transaxle fluid leak is the only reason for fluid
loss. If a leak occurs, take the vehicle to the dealer
and have it repaired as soon as possible. See
Recommended Fluids and Lubricants on page 385
for the proper fluid to use.
Hydraulic Clutch
The hydraulic clutch linkage in your vehicle is
self-adjusting. This system does not have its own
reservoir. It receives fluid from the brake master
cylinder reservoir.
See Brakes on page 298 for more information.
