Usage Features:

The EASY AIR 15 is designed for straightforward operation.

  • Component Identification: Key components include a carry handle, On/Off (I/O) switch, air outlet, regulator knob, gauge (pressure or flow depending on model), air inlet filters, power cord, power cord keeper, fuse drawer, AC inlet, and hour meter.
  • Grounding: The product must be properly grounded to reduce the risk of electrical shock. It is equipped with a grounding wire and plug, which must be connected to a properly installed and grounded outlet, preferably "Hospital Grade."
  • Setup: Before use, the product should be inspected for damage. It needs to be positioned near a grounded electrical receptacle with at least 4" (10 cm) clearance on all sides for adequate cooling. The On/Off switch should be in the "Off" (O) position, and the power cord properly connected.
  • Operation:
    1. Attach the appropriate device securely to the outlet fitting.
    2. Pull the regulator knob OUT to unlock it, then turn it fully counterclockwise.
    3. Press the On/Off (I/O) switch to the "On" (I) position.
    4. Adjust the pressure/flow by turning the knob: clockwise to increase, counterclockwise to decrease.
    5. Push the regulator knob IN to lock the pressure/flow setting.
    6. When not in use, press the On/Off switch to the "Off" (O) position.
  • Safety Precautions:
    • Always unplug the product immediately after use.
    • Do not use while bathing or near water.
    • Do not attempt to repair the product; internal parts are not user-serviceable.
    • Never use near flammable/explosive substances.
    • Exercise caution when oxygen is being administered.
    • Do not use with equipment requiring "dry" air without a proper dehumidification device.
    • Do not operate if the cord, plug, or unit is damaged, or if it has been dropped into water.
    • Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
    • Do not cover air vents, as this can cause overheating and shutdown.
    • Ensure proper ventilation to prevent overheating.

Maintenance Features:

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and performance of the EASY AIR 15.

  • Weekly Cleaning:
    1. Check both air filters on the top rear of the cabinet for dust buildup.
    2. If dust buildup occurs, unplug the product, remove the air filters, and wash them in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly.
    3. Absorb excess water from the filters with a dry towel.
    4. Return the filters to their original locations.
  • As Needed Cleaning:
    • Clean exterior surfaces with a cloth or sponge dampened with soap and water.
    • Wipe dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.
    • WARNING: Do not immerse the product in liquid.
    • If the product is used for infectious disease treatment, consult a physician or healthcare professional for recommended cleaning procedures.
  • Filter Replacement: Excessive dust buildup on external filters will reduce performance. Clean or replace with new filters as needed.
  • Saline Warning: The air filter does not filter out saline. Nebulized saline treatments can draw saline mist back into the product, causing rapid deterioration of compressor seals and voiding the warranty.
  • Preventative Maintenance (AT 8500 HRS): The product should be returned to the Equipment Provider for compressor maintenance, including pump rebuilding, after 8500 hours of operation. Precision Medical, Inc. offers Preventative Maintenance Services.
  • Replacement Parts: A list of commonly used replacement parts is provided, including filters (large and small), regulator, gauge, PM Kit, muffler assembly, AC inlet, tee, nut panel, mounting screw, washer, barb, motor rebuild kits (square and round), and case screw.
  • Returns: Refer to Precision Medical, Inc.'s Return Policy for procedures. When returning the product, disconnect the power cord from the back of the unit.
  • Maintenance Record: A section is provided to record maintenance activities, including date, hours, and description of maintenance performed.
