Usage Features:
The Premaxx Baby-Bag offers several usage features that enhance its practicality and comfort:
For Newborns (0-5 months):
- Positioning: For newborns, the baby should be placed in a horizontal, fetal position within the carrier, with their head supported by the parent's chest. This position ensures maximum safety and comfort.
- Adjusting the Carrier:
- Initial Setup: Place the Premaxx Baby-Bag over your left or right arm and head, ensuring the sling and hang Baby-Bag are over your shoulder. Make sure the Premaxx-label is on your shoulder and the claps are on your back. The mattress should be at chest level. Adjust the Baby-Bag as shown in step 2 of the manual.
- Removing the Sling: Unbuckle the sling and adjust the Baby-Bag with the stepped clasp.
- Shortest Position: Withdraw the stepped clasp to the beginning of the sling and pull the sling as far as possible through the sliding clasp.
- Longest Position: Slide the sliding clasp to the end of the sling and close the stepped clasp at the end of the sling.
- Safety Check: Ensure the sling is always drawn through the sliding clasp for extra safety.
- Placing the Baby: Take the Premaxx-label on your shoulder and turn it halfway away from you. In this way, you have a better view of your baby.
- Securing the Baby: Tie the inner flap with the cordstopper and tie a knot in the remaining length of the cord.
- Positioning for Comfort: Place your baby in the Baby-Bag with its head on the side where the sling goes over your shoulder. For maximum comfort, place the head of your baby at chest height and in the middle of the mattress.
- Final Adjustment: Pull the inner flap upwards.
- Tying the Cord: Tie the outer flap with the cordstopper and tie a knot in the remaining length of the cord.
- Storing the Baby-Bag: Never remove the Baby-Bag while your baby is still inside.
For Sitting Babies (5-18 months):
- Positioning: For older babies, the sitting position is recommended, with the baby sitting upright in the carrier, facing the parent. This position is suitable for babies who can sit independently.
- Adjusting the Carrier for Sitting Position:
- Initial Setup: Insert your left or right arm and your head through the sling and hang the Baby-Bag over your shoulder. Make sure the Premaxx-label is on your shoulder and the claps are on your back. The mattress should be at hip level. Adjust the Baby-Bag as shown in step 2 of the manual.
- Removing the Sling: Unbuckle the sling and adjust the Baby-Bag with the stepped clasp.
- Shortest Position: Withdraw the stepped clasp to the beginning of the sling and pull the sling as far as possible through the sliding clasp.
- Longest Position: Slide the sliding clasp to the end of the sling and close the stepped clasp at the end of the sling.
- Safety Check: Ensure the sling is always drawn through the sliding clasp for extra safety.
- Mattress Position: The sitting method is most comfortable when the Premaxx-label is on top of your shoulder.
- Placing the Baby: Take your baby high on your arm, against your shoulder. Insert the other arm through the Baby-Bag.
- Securing the Baby: Take your child on the hip, with the released arm from the Baby-Bag over the back and beneath your baby. Pull your baby on your hipbone, with its bottom on the middle of the mattress. The child's legs extend from the Baby-Bag, one leg in front and one leg behind your body. Pull the lower flap to the middle, between your child's legs.
- Bringing the Flap Upwards: Bring your hand around the back of your baby and via the back, pull the lower flap further upwards. Please note that the tighter the cord of the lower flap, just pull the flap itself.
- Tying the Cord: Pull the outer flap upwards along the back of your child. Tighten the cord of the outer flap with the cord-stopper and tie a knot in the remaining length of the cord.
- Storing the Baby-Bag: Never remove the Baby-Bag while your baby is still inside.
General Usage Guidelines:
- Always check the carrier for wear and tear before each use.
- Never use the Baby-Bag while cycling, driving a car, or engaging in activities where your movement might adversely affect your child.
- Always maintain visual contact with your baby and ensure their airway is clear.
- Be aware of your baby's movements and signals to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Do not use the carrier if you are feeling unwell or dizzy.
- Always keep this manual for future reference.
Maintenance Features:
- Washing: The Premaxx Baby-Bag is machine washable at 30°C (86°F).
