b. Do not tape all the threads. Leave several leading threads
unwrapped for easier alignment.
2. Screw the coupler plug into the tool's air inlet and tighten with a
wrench until snug.
3. Run the compressor at a low volume and check the connection for
air leaks. Do not use the tool until all air leaks are repaired or the
faulty component is replaced.
IMPORTANT! Vibration may cause failure if a quick coupler
is connected directly to the air tool. To overcome this,
connect a leader hose to the tool. A quick coupler may then
be used to connect the leader hose to the air line hose.
OPERATIONS
SOCKET INSTALLATION
CAUTION! Make sure that the nut or bolt can withstand
the rated torque and RPM (see Specifications). Consult the
recommended torque specifications for the nut or bolt.
1. Select the appropriately sized drive impact socket for the job. Only
use impact sockets which are specifically designed for use with an
impact wrench. Do not use worn or damaged sockets.
2. Push and snap the socket onto the anvil.
OPERATING THE IMPACT WRENCH
1. Tighten the fastener as far as you can by hand before using the
impact wrench.
2. Place the impact socket onto the bolt head or nut.
3. Squeeze the trigger to start the tool.
4. Apply power in short bursts to avoid stripping the nut or bolt.
Release the trigger if the tool stalls. The torque may inflict an
injury by twisting your arm. Use other methods and tools to
tighten or loosen the fastener.
5. Maintain a firm grip, but allow the tool to guide your hands up or
down when a fastener moves vertically.
6. Release the trigger to stop the tool.
