1. Lift the hood.
2. You will see a safety lock (B).
3. Push up B and lift the hood to fully
open.
NOTE
Make sure the wipers are in park posi-
tion before you lift the hood.

Install the support bar end into its slot
to let the hood stay open.
How to close the hood

1. Release the support bar from its slot
position.
2. Return the support bar to its store
position.
3. Slowly lower and hold the hood to
a position 30 cm from the top of its
close position.
4. Release the hood to drop to its
close position.
NOTE
(1) If the hood does not close, increase
the height of the drop position.
(2) Do not push the hood with your
hand. The hood can bend.
CAUTION
Make sure you safely lock the hood
so that the hood does not open
while you drive.

The trunk lid lever is located next to the
driver’s seat as shown in the illustration

Pull this trunk lid lever to unlock and
open the trunk lid.
To close, push the trunk lid to its close
position. Make sure you safely close the
trunk lid.
NOTE
1. When the trunk lid opens, the lug-
gage compartment lamp illumin-
ates. *
2. When the trunk lid closes, the lug-
gage compartment lamp turns
off. *
