If the undercarriage of the vehicle hits
an obstruction at a moderate-to-severe
rate of collision, the front airbag may
deploy. Drive carefully on the road con-
ditions that can cause sudden shock to
the undercarriage of the vehicle.
CAUTION
The airbag does not give protection
to the driver and passengers in all
types of collisions. Make sure you
correctly wear your seat belt.
The seat belts in your vehicle are
the primary protection in a collision.
The front airbags give only the ad-
ditional protection.
For safety of all passengers, make
sure all wear seat belts and wear it
correctly.

When an obstruction hits the vehicle at
the centre of the passenger compart-
ment, the curtain airbags and side
airbags deploy; The collision is at a me-
dium-to-severe rate. The typical condi-
tion is another vehicle (B) hits the side
of your vehicle (A) as shown in the illus-
tration:

airbag and the side airbag to deploy
The vehicle body structure absorbs the
shock to prevent the driver and the
passenger from injury; during some
types of side collisions.
NOTE: The roof pillar and the side area
of the vehicle body collapse to absorb
the side-collision energy; under these
conditions, the curtain airbag and side
airbags possibly not deploy.
