The information written in this SRS sec-
tion contains important points about
the SRS airbags*.
The SRS airbag gives additional protec-
tion to the seat belts to give protection
to the driver and front passenger. For
example, against injuries to the head
and chest during some moderate-to-
severe front collisions.
The SRS airbag does not replace the seat
belts.
Any work around and on the front
airbag system components must be only
done at an authorised PROTON service
outlet. Incorrect work can suddenly ac-
tivate the airbag to deploy and cause an
injury; Also causes the airbag to malfunc-
tion.
