WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This is to certify that PERUSAHAAN OTOMOBIL NASIONAL SDN BHD (hereinafter referred to as “ PROTON ”), the manufacturer
of Proton vehicles, provides warranty for your new Proton vehicle. However in the event of any replacement of parts, repair
and service that may be required due to any defect to the vehicle, such warranty shall be subject to the following terms and
conditions:
1 WHAT ARE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY?
IMPORTANT!
The following manufacturer’s warranty is subject to compliance of the periodical service maintenance as specified in this Service Booklet. In addition,
the service maintenance records and body inspection record must have been duly stamped and signed by any PROTON authorised distributor or its ap-
pointed dealer. If you sell or transfer the ownership of your vehicle, the remaining period of warranty is transferable to the subsequent owners by
completing the form at the back of this service booklet and sending it to the address as printed on the form. It is advisable that you read carefully and
understand the following pages:
The owner must carry out the periodical service maintenance as stated below (whichever occurs first):
• Every 10,000 km (“interval”), within 1,000 km before or after such interval; or,
• Every 6 months (“interval”), within 30 days before or after such interval
1.1 Basic Warranty Coverage (Malaysia only)
PROTON warrants that it will either repair or replace, as it deems appropriate, free of charge, any part of your Proton vehicle covered by this warranty that is
deemed defective in material or workmanship under normal use, for a period within 60 months unlimited mileage from the date of the vehicle’s first registration,
subject to the terms and conditions stipulated in this booklet. Please note that this Basic Warranty Coverage does not apply to the items listed under headings
“Specific Warranty Coverage” (Item 1.3) and “What Is Not Covered By The Warranty” (Item 2) in this section.
This Basic Warranty Coverage does apply to the Engine assembly and the Transmission assembly, subject to the terms and conditions stipulated in this booklet.
1.2 Basic Warranty Coverage (Countries other than Malaysia)
PROTON warrants that it will either repair or replace, as it deems appropriate, free of charge, any part of your Proton vehicle covered by this warranty that is
deemed defective in material or workmanship under normal use, for a period within 60 months from the date of the vehicle’s first registration or 150,000 km,
whichever occurs first, subject to the terms and conditions stipulated in this booklet. Please note that this Basic Warranty Coverage does not apply to the items
listed under headings “Specific Warranty Coverage” (Item 1.3) and “What Is Not Covered By The Warranty” (Item 2) in this section.
This Basic Warranty Coverage does apply to the Engine assembly and the Transmission assembly, subject to the terms and conditions stipulated in this booklet.
