Power Management Setup

The following indicates the options for each item and describes their meaning.
Item Option Description
l ACPI function Enabled Validates ACPI function.
Disabled Invalidates ACPI function.
l Power User Define Users can configure their own Power Management
Management Timer.
Min Saving Pre - defined timer values are used. All timers are
in their MAX values.
Max Saving Pre - defined timer values are used. All timers are in
their MIN values.
l ACPI Suspend S1 Selects the ACPI suspend type.
Type S3
l PM Control by NO System BIOS will ignore APM when Power
APM Management is enabled.
Yes System BIOS will wait for APM’s prompt before
entering any PM mode e.g. Standby or Suspend.
l Video Off option All Modes-off Screen blanks when enters all modes.
Suspend-off Screen blanks after the system enters suspend
mode.
Always on screen is always on.
l Video Off Blank Screen The system BIOS will only blank off the screen
Method when disabling video.
V / H SYNC + In addition to Blank Screen, BIOS will also turn

DPMS This function is enabled only for the VGA card
supporting DPMS.
