Overview

This document describes the QPlay S380, a children's tricycle designed for safety and ease of use. It is intended for children aged 10 to 72 months and has a maximum weight capacity of 25 kg (55 lbs). Adult assembly and supervision are required for safe operation.

Function Description:

The QPlay S380 is a versatile children's tricycle that can be used in two main configurations: as a push-along tricycle with a parent handle and canopy (the "Plus version"), and as a standalone tricycle for independent riding. The design incorporates features for both child comfort and parental control, including a safety harness, adjustable components, and a folding mechanism for portability.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model: QPlay S380
  • Recommended Age: 10 to 72 months
  • Maximum Weight Capacity: 25 kg (55 lbs)
  • Tyre Type: EVA tyre (Version A) or Plus version (Version B)

  • Storage Bag: Maximum load of 1 kg (2.2 lbs).

Usage Features:

Assembly and Initial Setup:

The manual provides detailed, step-by-step instructions with illustrations for assembling the tricycle. Key steps include:

  1. Front Wheel Assembly (STEP 01): Attach the front wheel, ensuring the fender is correctly positioned.
  2. Frame Assembly (STEP 02): Connect the main frame components.
  3. Handlebar Attachment (STEP 03): Secure the handlebar to the frame.
  4. Rear Wheel Assembly (STEP 04): Attach the rear wheels, ensuring they click into place. Washers may be needed.
  5. Footrest Assembly (STEP 05): Install the footrests.
  6. Seat and Backrest Assembly (STEP 06 & 07): Attach the seat and backrest, ensuring they are securely fastened.
  7. Safety Bar Installation (STEP 08): Install the safety bar, which locks into place.
  8. Canopy Attachment (STEP 09): Attach the canopy to provide shade.
  9. Parent Pushbar Installation (STEP 10): Install the parent pushbar, which clicks into place.

Plus Version Specifics (Version B):

For the Plus version, additional steps are provided for specific components:

  • Safety Bar (STEP 11): Install the safety bar (part 7).
  • Canopy (STEP 12): Attach the canopy (part 13).
  • Seat Cushion and Harness (STEP 13): Install the seat cushion (part 14) and adjust the safety harness.

Folding Mechanism:

The QPlay S380 features a folding mechanism for easy storage and transport. The manual illustrates how to fold the tricycle by disengaging various locking points and collapsing the frame. This involves releasing clips on the handlebar, seat, and frame to achieve a compact folded state.

Safety Harness Adjustment:

The safety harness is a crucial safety feature. The manual details how to open, close, and adjust the harness to ensure a snug and secure fit for the child. This includes adjusting shoulder straps, waist straps, and the crotch strap.

Parental Control and Child Riding Modes:

  • Parent Pushbar: The pushbar allows adults to steer and control the tricycle. When the pushbar is not in use, the front wheel knob should be turned to the left to engage cycling mode, preventing rollover or collision.
  • Independent Riding: When children ride independently, the pushbar and seat belt should be removed. Children should always wear an approved safety helmet.
  • Front Wheel Control: The front wheel has a mechanism to switch between parent-controlled steering and child-controlled steering.
