The unicycle is a fairly modest device that re-
quires very little maintenance.
Basically, only the wheel and the pedals are
subjected to heavy loads. The wheel should be
checked after a few days, as you may have to
retighten the spokes. The pedals are marked right
(R) and left (L). It is therefore so important that
the pedals are also used in the direction of travel,
because this prevents the pedals from turning
while riding. Please make sure that the left pedal
also has a so-called left-hand thread. It must be
tightened counterclockwise.
Check the tight fit of the crank and pedals regu-
larly and tighten both if necessary. (Even short)
riding with loose pedals or cranks will perma-
nently damage the wheel. On the following pages
you will find some tips and tricks concerning the
